No Place for Me to Go in Guangzhou?

by Joe on Mar.06, 2008, under Diary

It’s been days for me here in Guangzhou doing my “seeking-job job“, and i never feel so torturing like this before. Lots of resumes were sent out with only one response, it was a failure try, so i gave myself an excuse of being an interviewee for the first time. Back here after my first interview, i adjusted my self-introduction (never have a way of logical expression before) both in ENG and CHN, and start thinking i can do it better next time. But since then, I’ve got no interview reservation! I don’t get it, why to get an interview reservation is so difficult, or it’s just my problem? or maybe it’s just the time for me to adjust my resume again… Attitude is everything, as long as i keep my attitude towards to the positive side of life, i think soon i’ll be no more a job-less guy

I went to school last week, what i have done was just get my clothes packed and a small dorm-mate reunion (one absent because he had his work to do in Huizhou), and i got a cold :!:  Whatever, the atmosphere of staying at school was different, the whole school seem so quiet, but actually students were already having classes, there should be some kind of activities like basketball games, but… A friend said that’s the changing of thoughts, we’re growing old…

The Decision Has Been Made

by Joe on Feb.16, 2008, under Diary

I’ve been thinking about job seeking stuff, it’s really annoying to think about where to go, what to do, what can do. Well I guess I just can take my first step toward my first job. Next week, I’ll be in Guangzhou and see whether i can get a job here, though i’ve got no target and no expectation, probably just wasting the time, but i would feel better if i see “seeking a job is a job”.  And i’ll stay with my bro until i find a job, or even if i have a job. Whatever, good luck to me.

Another Boring Spring Festival

by Joe on Feb.12, 2008, under Diary

The atmosphere of Spring Festival is fading away, coz today is already the lunar calendar 6th January. For me, Spring Festival merely means of course not getting Red Envelops, that’s beyond my age. We’re talking about keep in touch with relatives (in order to *know* each other, hard to imagine right?), so relative visiting become one of the most important activities we have to execute everyday! Then, weird things happened, some unknown relatives show up and announce themselves as “relative”… Probably i’m still a student (not anymore after June), i think for most of the people who have jobs, Spring Festival means family reunion, the only chance to see their family members, including their small child.

Actually, i should have finished this post two days ago, because of computer virus stuff and makes me re-installed the os twice a day, now i’m still not sure whether the system is ok or not… Finally, the cube-solving time update: 12 times average 49.90   PS: 4×4 is a little bit diffcult than 3×3

For January 2008

by Joe on Jan.31, 2008, under Diary

DSCF7882Form school to home, the weather is getting colder and colder, yeah, i’m talking about January 2008. The most concerned topic for us to discuss recently is the cold weather, heavy snow has been sweeping the central, eastern and southwestern parts of the country and rain in south, it’s so cold in north that buses and rails can not even work, thousands of people were stuck and wouldn’t go home to enjoy the most important holidays for Chinese people: the Lunar New Year.

Tragedies happened, and i think, should we blame on our human beings? I mean, global warming, climate change, all because of human activities, i believe, the next so called “the heaviest snow in 50 years” would again shows up in 10 years if we continue destorying our planet earth.

I’d been worrying about the result of BECV, and last night, the BEC’s official website announced the result, and i’ve got myself a C grade, no surprise, no excitement, i don’t know why… Then i sent an email to my BEC teacher, expressed my gratefulness and thank him as a teacher also as a friend for the efforts he made, thanks.

What comforts me is the speed to solve a cube has improved, best time: 45.21s, ten times average: 52.84s. Compare to a month ago “best 1m32s“, really is a great progress. Therefore, i brought a R4 (Rubik’s 4×4×4). See the picture above.

*To Ciney*, i was told that she didn’t pass BECV and i want to say, it mean nothing you can’t pass the test, you’re the best! Cheer up!

We’re About to Leave

by Joe on Dec.31, 2007, under Diary

177
One term left till the end of college life, but time is keep telling us that we all are about to leave this place by the end of this term. We have to suppose that during this last nearly 30 days are the days that we could consolidate the relationships with friends, and we did. Some went travelling while some went K-ing, we, our dorm members, went hot potting last night. What surprised me was that i found myself have some psychology problems – afraid of going out and meet with strangers. It doesn’t metter yo, because we’re talking about school leaving. Besides the chafing dish, i brought magic cubes as gift to my dorm mates, whatever, i like to play cube, so do they. Not expensive though, but i think they like it, and as a gift, it’s a great deal:)

Some days early this month, i placed an order online on dangdang, but they really let me down because of the speed of delivery, it claims that in my living area, books will be delivered within a week, actually, i got my books the day before yesterday, almost 3 weeks after the order i placed. So, i made some complains to the Customer Services of dangdang, and you know what? Customer Services of China Post’s explaining call, and i’m sure it’s the China Post’s problems about the delay, so i didn’t blame on dangdang, China Post sucks!

By the way, today is the last day of 2007, good or bad, i make through. So, i want to say goodbye and thanks to 2007 and say hello 2008!

What About Now?

by Joe on Dec.22, 2007, under Diary

rubiks-cubeHow time flies, new year is around the corner, and all of a sudden, i find myself grow older and realise that steps about to take in my life are getting harder and harder.

If you check the date of my last post, you’ll see that i’ve been lacking this blog behind and do something substantial (i can’t just live with computers right?). So i keep buying book online, using the earnings of Paypal, also cultivate my own interest: the rubik’s cube, but i believe most of you like to call it as magic cube, and it’s been a part of my life now, i’m not a master of it (best time to solve the cube is: 1m32s), but i get much fun from it.

What concerns me most is the job seeking. Because i don’t know what i can do and the path i want to follow, walking around aimlessly, live without passion, totally a hopeless, futureless loser.  For give me to write such negative boring craps, actually, i wrote a draft last night and do some amendments, but while i’m facing the monitor, feeling changes, then craps come out, then… So, if you feel uncomfortable with my words, just close the browser and don’t have to feel sorry about me.

Oh i forget to say something:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!

October Ends

by Joe on Oct.27, 2007, under Diary

I’ve been hooked on a game called Warcraft early this month, and it’s so interesting that it gradually become part of my daily entertainment. Early this week’s notifying about the failure of the test poses me a question: should i continue wasting my time or do something meaningful, something that won’t make me regret in the future. My teacher says we needn’t hurry to jump into the job market before well-prepare ourselves, since jobs are easy to find, but good jobs need not only the basic qualifications but expertise. To learn something useful while you still have time rather than wasting time on doing what you don’t want to do. I agree with him, as long as you have the know how on whatever fields you want to be engaged upon, jobs will come to you.

I should take steps to strike to become one of those kind of people by stop wasting my time in doing things that don’t related to my future development, read more not only those books that related to my major but literary works for self-improvement on temperament. But the first thing i should do is to get rid of playing Warcraft, since it starts early this month, why not end it when October ends?

Buzz EP.05

by Joe on Oct.23, 2007, under Diary

Actually, this is a draft that i wanted to post a week ago, reason why i didn’t publish is because i have thing to say but i can’t say, now i got myself a topic: Failure of PETS4!

I know i’ve been lazy to blog and that reflect my current lifestyle: lazy to do everything except day dreaming, that sucks especially you’ve got things to do but don’t wanna think about, not to mention the implementation.

I’ve read two books mentioned in this post, a shock to human beings’ inner value, weak and ugly.

A friend came to me said that he failed to pass the oral part of PETS4 agian, and next time, he has no chance but to take both parts of the test if he want to reparticipate to the test. How about me? I logged on to this site and got my score of 53, far away from the passing line. One said i’m a optimist, she doesn’t know this is just a comfort for her. How i feel about this about anything? She never know!

Still In Holidays

by Joe on Oct.05, 2007, under Diary

After 4 days of staying at dorm, i got accompany again – a roommate back from Guangzhou who had sufferred from the bad traffic conditions durning his staying in Guangzhou. There’re two, however, will not show up until tomorrow.

Also tomorrow, probably i have to hand the computer back to the owner, so there’ll be a conclusion about what i’ve done in the pass 6 days. First, results of the games i’ve mentioned – Resident Evil 4 and Need for Speed Carbon weren’t to my satisfaction, but i did prefer Need for Speed to RE4, the career mode in the game was finished in less than 12 hours, and that never happened to me, you know, i love games, but i’m not a good player, however, you might think 12 hours is still damn too long for you to play such kind of games.  By the way, i also played a game named Warcraft through LAN with my friends next doors and have joys while we were playing, after playing, we have same topic about the games to discuss, which was more likely a team building  The second thing i’ve done is like always, write some posts here in this blog for my own living, not much, but if you change into CNY, it’s almost a week’s expenses for me to eat and drink for just one or two posts a week, i’m sure the continuing growth of my blog can even create more profits, but there’s a long way to go still.

Leave the rest, you won’t like it.

Long Time No Read…

by Joe on Oct.01, 2007, under Diary

I can’t remember the last time when i holding a book, sitting in my bedroom and enjoying the sharing of the author from those words written in the papers. And now, it’s time for me to find an excuse to buy some different kinds of books differ from my major which might help to the future, that is, bucks on my Paypal account.

9036753Paypal in America is a convenience tool for both buyers and sellers in the transaction process and the money transfer to your bank account, but in China, that is not quite it because of some kind of the economic protection or? You never want to have your money transferred unless a large sum of $, it’s definitely a costly and cumbersome process. So the best choice you need to make is to spend them online, buy some books or something you like, but you know, in China… it’s really hard to…to…find a website that supports the payment method of Paypal, even the Ebay’s China branch – Eachnet, no wonder it can’t beat taobao, the largest online shops in China.

Lucky, i got dangdang, and finally, four books were deliveried to me, three of them are a series, another one is about BEC.
