We’re About to Leave
by Joe on Dec.31, 2007, under Diary

One term left till the end of college life, but time is keep telling us that we all are about to leave this place by the end of this term. We have to suppose that during this last nearly 30 days are the days that we could consolidate the relationships with friends, and we did. Some went travelling while some went K-ing, we, our dorm members, went hot potting last night. What surprised me was that i found myself have some psychology problems – afraid of going out and meet with strangers. It doesn’t metter yo, because we’re talking about school leaving. Besides the chafing dish, i brought magic cubes as gift to my dorm mates, whatever, i like to play cube, so do they. Not expensive though, but i think they like it, and as a gift, it’s a great deal:)
Some days early this month, i placed an order online on dangdang, but they really let me down because of the speed of delivery, it claims that in my living area, books will be delivered within a week, actually, i got my books the day before yesterday, almost 3 weeks after the order i placed. So, i made some complains to the Customer Services of dangdang, and you know what? Customer Services of China Post’s explaining call, and i’m sure it’s the China Post’s problems about the delay, so i didn’t blame on dangdang, China Post sucks!
By the way, today is the last day of 2007, good or bad, i make through. So, i want to say goodbye and thanks to 2007 and say hello 2008!
10·1 National Day Holidays
by Joe on Sep.29, 2007, under Diary
For most of you, Chinese National Day is still two days away, but for me, from today’s on, till October 7, are what i called holidays. I went home last National Day because of the date of moon festival was durning the holidays, and we all know that this year’s moon festival had just passed, so there’s no reason for me to spend about two days to go and back from home.
Talking about this year’s moon festival, nothing special actually, but our college has a good tradition that is the college will give you the something to drink, to eat for free of cause, to make you feel at home. No exception, a moon cake, beverage, an apple and a pear were given to every living person who spending their festivals in campus. Though these sweet stuff are not expensive, but at least the head of the college management think of us, at least they fullfill our basic needs to celebrate the festival, at least they know what moon festival means to a Chinese. As far as i know, no college even the college next door provide such kind of “offers” but ours, so if your college have such kind of “policies”, please let me know
I took my friend’s computer back to dorm, besides, two games are being downloaded, one is called Resident Evil 4(My Bro. said it was really an exciting game), another is called Need for Speed Carbon(My favorite race game, and i love race very much, even though i don’t have a real car), so there’ll be definitely an interesting holiday.
I Hate Grammer!
by Joe on Jul.23, 2007, under Diary
All these days after the holiday started, i’ve been doing a little bit praperation for the coming two English tests, remember words and phrases, also the grammer.
Talking about grammer, i’m really sick of it. You might be surprised that how can a college student majoring English doesn’t know the grammer at all! and i’m gonna tell you that, it is ture for me. I always feel that the way teachers teached us grammer was really misleading, of course i’m talking about senior high school period. While we were having grammer classes, teachers always wrote a whole blackboard the theories, then tell us to copy every single words they have wrote, then several pieces of examples which made us even more confused. No excerices, no discussions which means you have to take those things all by yourself. No wonder i know nothing about grammer after almost 9 years of English studying! So i make up my mind at the beginning of the holiday that i must conquer the grammer this time, no excuse, no compromise, after that, i will remain on this beginner’s stage no more! And after 2 weeks of grammer learning, i feel that what i’ve learned during this period is much more than what i’d learned in the past 9 years! Great, huh?
But i found some grammer points are still hard to master, for example, the prepositions, let me quote something i saw on a grammer learning website.
Even advanced learners of English find prepositions difficult, as a 1:1 translation is usually not possible. One preposition in your native language might have several translations depending on the situation.
There are hardly any rules as to when to use which preposition. The only way to learn prepositions is looking them up in a dictionary, reading a lot in English literatures and learning useful phrases off by heart.
you see? It seems that i still have a long way to go to achieve my grammer-mastering goal.
Pray for me guys…
Haha…

The college’s broadcasting team will have a party tonight, all the members in the team will show up in the party, some “lucky dogs” will have the chances to sing on stage for their lovers. But what i want is not to become one of those “lucky dogs”, i just want to see two members in the team, girls of course. Why? coz their sweety voices torture me day by day, every time when i hear them broadcasting, i can’t help thinking what kind of girls they are. So, tonight is a chance for me to see them clearly; however, i don’t want to go there after a deep thought: what am i gonna do after i see them? May be just satisfied my curiosity, then i know them but they don’t know me! That seems meaningless, besides, probably they will disappointed me: outside look or inside. So, the best way for me to do is to keep on listening their programs and enjoying their beautiful voices. Isn’t it a good idea?
I Feel Free Now…

I took the ICD (International Commercial Documents) thest today, morning was the theory part, and the document-making part in the afternoon. Unfortunately, there was a heavy shower on my way to the exam center and got myself all wet. Finally i asked a friend of mine to picked me up, it was so embarrassing.
The exam center actually located in our neighborhood college and i got some friends there, so i didn’t back to mine college at noon, instead, i stayed in one of my friends’ dorm, watching movies.
We planned to have a dinner together outside tonight, like a farewell party coz some of my friends might not come back to college next semester and saying that we might not to see each other for a long long period. But finally we came out another idea was to go to camping at the end of this month, i think it’s a good idea, everyone will have fun together and leave no regret to our college life, and we’ll be friends 4ever.
Something..

If you saw a movie called GHOST RIDER, you might remember the one who sold his soul to the devil called Johnny Blaze loves a song very much, i was familiar with the song too, i don’t know the name of the song, but i do remember it, probably listened several years ago. Then i know the name of the song is called Superstar, sung by The Carpenters. I love The Carpenters, most of the songs she sung is very soft and her voice is very very attracted, and the rhythm too. I like to listen those songs in the mid-night, coz it’s quiet and when i hear those songs, i always have something in mind, something unforgetable, something that changed my life.Though that was a band of 70s, but their songs seems never out of date! At least for me.
There was a test in today’s writing course, the requirement is to write an essay, about 800 words(faint..) and the title is “My Favourite Subject”. Finally it took me 1 hour to wrote an approximately 400 words’ “essay” out. Mainly talked about my first year General English teacher Mr.Lee and his way of teaching etc.
The next thing i want to show you is a funny music video played by a group of student of our neighbourhood college, definitely original:lol:
